Can a Saved Person Live Wickedly to the End yet not Perish Eternally?

I have this thing when I take showers seems to be the time the Lord likes talking to me. I don’t know if it is supposed to be a secret thing between me and my Father that I am revealing to the world? I just love His sense of humor.

A question popped in my spirit, ” If I don’t start serving the Lord now, when will I start?

The Bible says I was chosen, accepted, justified even before the foundation of the world. I was saved even before I physically came into being. When I was a very little baby, my parents brought me to the Lord to confirm it. I believe it was done in faith by believing parents who followed Matthew 19:14 command, “Let the little children come to Me, do not hinder or forbid them, for such belongs the kingdom of God.”

God accepted me long before I came out of my mother’s womb. I was not aware of it. I lived wickedly for over three decades. The light-bulb moment happened when I was 36. It’s when I apprehend God’s Fathership. It’s when I recognized I lived all my life like fatherless, who don’t know where I came from and where I was going.

The lack of knowledge is what causes many to perish. Some will perish eternally others will just perish temporarily meaning in the end, Jesus will raise them up.

I strongly believe there many saved souls who will live their entire lives condemned because they have never got connected with their heavenly Father. If this physical life reflects everything in the spiritual realm then broken relationships also have a part to play. A prodigal son in Luke 15:11–32 came home when things got tough yet in my opinion, I think there are many prodigals who won’t return home until the end.

There is no any fun living all your life condemned not knowing you are a son or daughter of the King, the maker of the heaven and the earth. Not knowing you are going to be a joint heir with Jesus. What is like to be Prince Charles for example yet not knowing the Queen of England is your mother? He lives all his life in some remote parts of Africa. He can’t even get access to clean water let alone knowing where his next meal will come from. Then in the minutes of his life, he finds out he had an inheritance in England all along. That’s how it is with all justified souls who have not come home to Jesus Christ. Are you one of them?

How do I know the possibility of this happening to some of our brothers and sister? Well, Psalm 91:7, “A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you.” This verse doesn’t distinguish between a saved person or unsaved person but what it says in verse 8 is; you will only look with your own eyes and see the recompense of the wicked.

Now, I know we define a wicked person as a person who doesn’t know Jesus or unsaved, unregenerate person. True, it is a person who has no relationship with Jesus but it doesn’t mean he or she was not justified by God before the foundation of the world. If you are saved and know Jesus today and have the relationship with Him but you are living like the world lives, you fall on the same category of the wicked.

Out of 11,001 people, only one will not see calamity come upon him or her. Those 11,001 includes both justified people and unjustified people. What distinguishes that one person from eleven thousand is, this one person dwells in the secret place.

Look, the devil cannot go anywhere near God. The Bible says, God, dwells in unapproachable light. Where the light is darkness cannot comprehend. So if you dwell where God dwells, no evil will befall you.

Many believers aren’t diligent dwelling in the secret place Jesus prepared for us. We read this Psalm in church, it sounds good, we think David had a moment with God but the truth is; it is the Holy Spirit, an Insider, guiding us to a place we ought to live as new creatures. We were called to dwell with God. God did not call a bunch of people so they can just approach Him when they have problems or need something. He called us to fellowship with Him. He called us to be where He is. To live where He lives.

John 14:3, And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.
John 14:4, You know the way to the place where I am going.
John 14:18, I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
John 12:26, If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
John 17: 24, Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

Most believers think eternity is in the future. I am breaking the news to you right now, eternity is here. It existed before we came, it will continue forever whether will be here in our present physical bodies or given a new body. We need to start living with eternity perspective.

Those who gonna perish forever and those who don’t know what God did for them in Christ obviously can’t be stimulated with eternity. They are satisfied with temporal pleasures and what the world has to offer. Those who will face the lake of fire, this world is their spring break. And those who will meet the Lord in the end even though they never knew Him all their lives on earth will be shocked to find out how they wasted their lives. The good news is there is no regrets in heaven.

Some people will not know they were saved until the very last second. But Adam ain’t powerful than Jesus. The Bible says when Adam, sinned, sin fell into the whole world. Romans 5:1 says, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.” Jesus’ blood is sufficient to wipe out Adam’s messy. Romans 5:15 says, “But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.” “Much more” is the keyword.

God’s grace overflow more than a sin of one man. This is why, whenever I grasp these truths, I praise God every day and thank Him for Jesus Christ because I don’t think we have even touched the surface of what He has done for us. I believe in the end many whom we think are in hell will be in heaven. Grace doesn’t give anyone a ticket to sin rather empowers everyone to live righteously and holy. Will everyone live holy and righteously? Are you holy and righteous?

Your loved ones may haven’t enjoyed the grace of God here on this current earth but they are enjoying it now because for them this earth was hell. For us who know God in this earth, we rejoice in the Lord for this privilege and opportunity. What we experience here, on this earth gives just a taste of heaven. We see things dim but then we will see everything clearly.

If you are still living in sin and don’t know the Lord, let me encourage you today that you were justified before the foundation of the world. God loved you so much that He gave His only begotten Son that if you believe in Him you will not perish. Don’t wait until last minutes of your breath. Believe no and start living like an heir of the kingdom. Amen.
