How To Live and Not Exist

Have you ever come across someone who is hoping for something and when you ask them about the things they’re hoping for they’ll tell you “keep fingers crossed!” I don’t know where or when this term “crossing” my fingers started but it sounds like witchcraft to me. What fingers crossing does–if anything, to make your situation better?

That’s how a carnal minded person think. It is a demonstration of being short-sighted. It is totally hopelessness–it doesn’t make any sense. That’s exactly why Jesus came to free us.

Listen, you don’t have to live like that. There is a better way of life where every decision you’ll ever make, will be backed with 100% guarantee. There will be no second-guessing, no crossing fingers, no doubts but peace. This guarantee is available only by the leading of the Holy Spirit. You cannot argue any better way than that. And this is the fruit of the work on the cross of Jesus Christ.

I don’t know about you, but when I go to a store to buy something and they tell me “you cannot return or no guarantee it gonna work,” I am out there before they finish a sentence. I want peace. When I came to Christ, I never doubted my decision. I had the peace within me assuring everything written in the Bible is true. Everything Jesus accomplished for me is true. You will not persuade me to try Hinduism or Islam or Buddhism or any other religion for I have peace in Jesus Christ.

God didn’t send His Son to die and shed His precious blood so that you and I will cross fingers. No, He sent Him so that you and I will have peace which surpasses all understanding to guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

In the audio, we are looking how the Spirit of the Lord operated from the beginning of the world. We will examine the problem with believers today for the fact we do not value Him that much to our own peril. We’ll take a quick lesson from King David and Jesus’ Spirit-led lives.

Scriptures I used includes:

A prayer for as found on 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 NIV  “May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.”

Luke 4:18-19, 21

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
    that the blind will see,
that the oppressed will be set free,
and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.
Then he began to speak to them. The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!

Romans 8:6 “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”

Be blessed!
